Interview with a great music producer, Mr. Chong
On Wednesday, November 17th we had a special Skype interview. Mr. Chong, Alina's father, talked to us about his life as a music producer. We students asked him lots of questions about his relationship with music. One student's question was, "Why did you change your job from a music artist to a producer?" Mr. Chong replied with a big smile and said, "I always wanted to compose music and now I can. As an artist, I got a lot of attention and didn't have any private life. It was difficult." Listening to this response made us students think deeply about the downsides of fame.
We asked him more questions about our NPCA project. We were impressed to be able to speak with a successful producer. Lots of students were inspired by him. He even gave us some tips for how we can become producers. The interview was a valuable use of our time. We got to reflect on what we think about music and also got lots of information from a professional and experienced current music composer.
